  • ZOOM: https://bit.ly/31BS3ag (map)

In September the NLCLUB will host its first Bookclub series: Books at Breakfast where internationally renowned Dutch authors are invited to join a group of passionate readers. The author will share their inspiration, their insights, and behind the scenes stories in an intimate setting.

The first author of NLCLUB's Books at Breakfast is Sophie Poldermans with her book Seducing and Killing Nazis.

Seducing and Killing Nazi's is the astonishing true story of three teenage Dutch girls, Hannie Schaft and sisters Truus and Freddie Oversteegen, that has inspired many throughout the world. When Nazi Germany invaded the Netherlands in World War II, these girls took up arms against the enemy by seducing high-ranking Nazi officers, luring them into the woods and killing them. They provided Jewish children with safe houses and gathered vital intelligence for the resistance.

The book has been rated New York Post Best seller of 2019, was # 1 on Amazon in the category Dutch History for weeks and was greatly received in TIME, the Independent, the Daily Mail, Inspirational Women podcast, Women’s radio, History Hit podcast, Ms. Magazine, Chicago the Jam Tv Show and others.
